Pavlos Michaelides was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. He began violin studies at the age of 8 with Ara Vorskanian, continuing on with Themis Christodoulou, whom with he received in 1997 the Advanced Certificate in Violin Performance of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
During his studies, he had been a member of the Cyprus State Youth Orchestra. In 1996, he attended the master classes of Prof. Theo Olof, as a selected member of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra in Aix en Provence, France. He moved to Tucson in 2000, at the University of Arizona, where he pursued and acquired his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, emphasizing in Management Information Systems. At the same time he became a member of the university’s symphony orchestra, along with taking violin classes with Prof. Mark Rush. He then moved to Flagstaff, at the Northern Arizona University, to acquire his Masters in Business Administration. In order to study the techniques that distinguish the traditional Greek music, he came to Athens in 2005, where he attended violin classes with Prof. John Zevgolis with whom he acquired in December of 2008 the diploma LRSM in Violin Performance (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music). In the meantime, he was employed as a Sanctioning Officer at the Bank of Cyprus, Athens, where he worked until April of 2007. After receiving the LRSM, he enrolled at the University of Indianapolis Athens campus to work towards a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Violin) Performance, with Prof. Vladislav Halapsis.

Currently he is pursuing a M.A in Music (Violin Performance). He recorded with the National Broadcasting Centre of Greece and other private productions. He is currently a member of the University of Indianapolis Athens Campus chamber music group “BIOS” under the direction of Dr. Alexandros Halapsis. In addition, he cooperated and perform with Bay Area Classical Harmonies (BACH) and with the following bands: “Iristho En Parodo”, with which EMI is realising their first official album, “Istories gia Krousta”, “Loxandra”, “J. Kriste, Master of Disguise”, “Eimai Zen kai me Tarazeis”, “Elefsina’s Cultural Center”, “Cyprus Broadcasting Center Popular Band”.
