Marios
Takoushis is a music composer and pianist. After studying
composition and filmscoring at the Berklee College of
Music and at the Conservatoire National Superiur de
Lyon, he moved to London where he currently resides
and began working as a film composer and session musician.
He
has collaborated with film composers such as Charlie
Mole (Othello, Importance of Being Earnest) on feature
films such as "Dorian Grey", and Srdjan Kurpjel
(Time of the Gypsies, Underground), whereas his most
recent filmscores include the highly acclaimed film
"A Boy called Dad" starring Ian Hart (Harry
Potter), and Robert Murray's well received documentary
"The End of the Line".
Other
credits include music for MTV's EXIT campaign, CNN,
as well as for numerous commercials, contemporary dance
performances and for theatre.
As
a pianist and arranger, he has released a solo jazz
piano album, is featured on a number of CD's and he
has performed with a wide range of ensembles in New
York, Paris, Sydney and London.
Along with
Gabriel
Karapatakis
they formed the “Takoushis Karapatakis quartet”
and they recorded their first album "Sympnoia"
