Over
30 years of musical experience support the sound of
Kyp1s sitar. Hi is one of the founding members of ISHQ
& DubwiZe.
Born of Cypriot parents, Kyp grew
up with the sounds of Greek Rembetika (underground Greek
blue`s) at home.
Starting his musical career at the
age of fourteen, playing in tavernas, bars, pubs, restaurants
& weddings all around UK. Raised in & out London,
always on the move even as a child. Soaking up multi-cultural
music & langueges through friends & travels.
Hanging
out in reggae dancehalls & Latin clubs, he had his
first reggae band in the seventies. Since, has a member
of many bands, played with many international artist`s
through a spectrum of musical styles.
It was perhaps
inevitable that his path world lead him to the sitar
as, the Indian influence has always been there both
in music spirituality. Having adopted the stance of
earthman Kyp claims all the world`s cultures as his
birthright!
