George Krasidis
Pennsylvania, where he had the opportunity to study classical saxophone with Dr. Keith Young and composition with Professor Daniel Perlongo.
George Krasidis has received a BA in Music in Saxophone Performance from Indiana University of Associate (A.L.C.M) and Licentiateship (L.L.C.M) in Clarinet Performance from London College of Music, and a degree in Singing and Harmony from the National Conservatory of Athens. In 1997-98 he attended Berklee College of Music after receiving a scholarship from the institution. At the same time he received private lessons from the world renowned jazz saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi. During his second time in the U.S. (2006-07), George Krasidis performed with well known jazz artists such as:
Jim Self, Rex Richardson, Jim Mcfalls, Poogie Bell, Howie Alexander and others. At the same time he performed recorded with IUP’s Jazz Ensemble, Symphony band, Concert band, and Jazzam’s (Pittsburgh based funk group) debut album:
‘It’s about time’.
 He also co-operated with several European and Greek distinguished music artists such as:
Offer Ganor, Giorgos Dalaras, Pandelis Thalassinos, Vasilis Lekas, Kostas Makedonas, Nikos Xidakis, Andreas Georgiou and others. Except his 17 year career as a performer, George Krasidis has also worked as an educator for 6 years (1999-2005) in the American Academy Limassol (private school). With his return to Cyprus (2007), George Krasidis has accepted the position as Head of the Music Department in the American Academy.
