Bio
(Short) Isaac Martin de la Leona
Born in Spain, guitarist and composer Isaac Martin starts his contact
with music at the age of 8 playing piano. When he is 14 years old he turns into
guitar, playing in some rock bands in his home city. Some years after he gets
into jazz and brazilian studying teached by some of the best teachers in Spain,
like Joaquin Chacon, Dan Rochlis and Joan Soler. When he moves to
Madrid he gets quickly into the jazz
scene of that city, performing with important bands like Borboleta 13
and Just Friends and working as
guest with well-known players like Jorge Pardo and Jerry Gonzalez.
During this years he combines performing and teaching in lots of music schools
in Madrid. Isaac is currently living in Rotterdam, where he completes his
studies with teachers such as Peter Niewerf and Hein van de Geyn.
