European Trio and Jan Kus

The European Trio is formed by piano player Andreas Panteli, bass player Andreas Rhodosthenous, and Selios Xydias on the drums.
The group was created in 2008. When the band first played together they immediately saw a connection between them and a clear direction of musical style and color.
Andreas Rodosthenous on the electric bass has a unique style and sound that blends with piano player Andreas Panteli in an attempt of creating interractive music that can escape from "harmonical borders".    StelliosXydias touch on the drums comes to comlete the bands sound and rytmically interactive direction.
The three are heavily influenced by Modern Jazz (Brad Mehldau, Wayne Shorter) and European Music (Keith Jarrett European Quartet), and so their approach comes from a fusion of these styles.
For this concert the Trio becomes a Quarted with the addition of Slovenian saxofone player Jan Kus. Jan Kus and Andreas Panteli have their own band back in Holland where they are currently studying, and Jan was invited as a guest to join the trio on this concert.
