3 Days Rock Music
In August will
take place a Rock Festival with
main performers the "40 Plus Band" between the 12th, 13th &
14th of the month. The 12th & 14th the band will have 2 concerts
that will start at 9.30 in the evening & the ticket price are 8
pounds.
The 13th there will be an unplugged situation where
the musicians will play "free style" & the entrance will be free of

The early 70s were a time when
student bands were flourishing. This was the
rock music era and the young people of those times, students mostly, created a
musical society that quickly spread across the island of Cyprus
with Band Contests and high profile music events.
Today, 30 years later,
some of
those young students, now with families of their own, come together to
celebrate music and history. At 40+
the stiff fingers and the hoarse voices are back in action, and the result is
quite extraordinary.
The repertoire of the 40+ Rock Band is widely known, with
songs that one can rarely enjoy live these days. Hits of famous rock groups
such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Dire Straits, Doors, Santana, Moody Blues, Guns n Roses, Scorpions and
many others.
These last 3 years 40+ have appeared in a
variety of venues:
Nicosia: Avlea, Diahroniki, RED,
Maple Leaf and Anallax Limassol: TP Rock Pub
Pomos: Paradise Place
where they appear in the
annual
Rock Festival.
