ECHOES by Cypriot Musicians

Η εταιρεία ACM Christofides Ltd και το
ουίσκι The Famous Grouse επισημαίνοντας τη σημαντική ανάπτυξη της κυπριακής
μουσικής σκηνής τα τελευταία χρόνια και αναγνωρίζοντας το ταλέντο και επαγγελματισμό των μουσικών που ζουν και δημιουργούν στο νησί, αποφάσισε να στηρίξει την προσπάθεια τους για  αναγνώριση και καθιέρωση τους στο χώρο και στο κοινό της Κύπρου.

Στα πλαίσια αυτά, με τη στήριξη του ουίσκι The Famous Grouse έχουν προγραμματιστεί για το καλοκαίρι του 2009 μια σειρά από ζωντανές εμφανίσεις κυπριακών σχημάτων. Οι μουσικοί είναι άτομα που γεννήθηκαν ή ζουν για χρόνια στο νησί μας και ασχολούνται τόσο επαγγελματικά όσο και ερασιτεχνικά με τη μουσική. Κοινό χαρακτηριστικό τους η αγάπη τους για τη μουσική και ο επαγγελματισμός όσον αφορά την ποιότητα του ήχου και των ζωντανών εμφανίσεων, της σχέσης τους και της επικοινωνίας τους με το κοινό (παρουσία στα ΜΜΕ και στο διαδύκτιο, κυκλοφορία CD και DVD).
Οι συναυλίες κάτω από το όνομα «ECHOES» θα γίνουν σε Λευκωσία, Λάρνακα, Λεμεσό και Πωμό με αυτή τη σειρά τον Ιούλιο και Αύγουστο.
Μετά τις δύο πρώτες συναυλίες σε Λευκωσία και Λάρνακα τον Ιούλιο ακολουθούν οι συναυλίες σε Λεμεσό και επαρχία Πάφου.
Στις αρχές Αυγούστου συναυλία θα γίνει στη Λεμεσό.

Η τελευταία συναυλία θα γίνει στο Paradise Place στον Πωμό στην Πάφο στις 22 Αυγούστου. Το Paradise Place θα φιλοξενήσει τα σχήματα (: Babamat (Λευκωσία), Wanderlust (Πάφος) και τους Χαριτίνη Κυριάκου- κιθάρα, Έλενα Παπαλεοντίου- φωνή, Άθω Νεοκλέους- πιάνο με Jazz & Swing ακούσματα, αρχίζοντας στις 7  το απόγευμα.

Acknowledging the significant development of the Cyprus music scene and recognising the talent and professional attitude of musicians who live and create on the island, the company ACM Christofides Ltd and The Famous Grouse Whisky have decided to support their effort for establishment in the scene and among the Cyprus audience.
With that in mind and the support of The Famous Grouse Whisky, a series of live performances by Cypriot bands has been planned for the summer of 2009. The musicians are either born or live on the island for years and work with music either as professionals or during their free time. Their common interest and love of music becomes the motivation to work professionally regarding the quality of their sound, live performances and the relation between them and the Cypriot audiences (presence in the Media and references on the internet, distribution of CD and DVD).
The concerts under the name “ECHOES” will take place in Nicosia Larnaca, Limassol and Pomos in the order mentioned above in July and August.
On the 22nd of August ECHOES will be at Paradise Place in Pomos with the following musicians:
1) Wanderlust from Pafos who play Indie Pop / Rock.
2) Babamat from Nicosia performing electronic combined with instrumental music. Marios Andreou, Marios Kyriakou, Konstantinos Evaggelides
3) Jazz & Swing Melodies from the band “Ke Tora Ti;”.
